Outline of the International Student Program without

Japanese Language Entrance Requirement

(for entrance in April 2012)

~Undergraduate Admission~

This admission program will discontinue recruiting students from AY 2013.
For applicants interested in the admission conducted in English, we provide “International Program AO Admission” whose entrance is in September.

In order to facilitate the acceptance of international students who desire to study science and engineering at Waseda University, the Faculty of Science and Engineering has established the International Student Program without Japanese Language Entrance Requirement for students who have not acquired Japanese language skills but have reached a prescribed level of academic performance and can learn in English. Waseda University enrolled first students of this program in April 2009. As described below, two methods have been prepared for the entrance examination: a "written examination + interview" method and an "AO (document screening + interview)" method. Applications from students who are interested in entering the Faculty of Science and Engineering of Waseda University or who wish to study science and engineering in Japan will be welcome.

For more details, please visit the following website of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Waseda University (English version only), and download the Guidelines for International Student Program without Japanese Language Entrance Requirement and the application document forms.
